Areas of Work

Advocacy

At Hoviat, advocacy means standing unwaveringly alongside women whose rights have been ignored or who have been victims of violence and discrimination. We believe that changing laws and policies is only possible through civil pressure, broad awareness-raising, and effective engagement with decision-making institutions. For this reason, the Advocacy Department serves as a bridge between women and national and international forums, ensuring that the voices of the voiceless are heard worldwide.

Activities and Programs:

Preparing and submitting human rights reports on women’s conditions to international organizations

Participating in national and global conferences and meetings to defend women’s rights

Collaborating with legal, civil, and media institutions to garner public support

Conducting awareness campaigns on gender-based discrimination and violence

Providing direct support to survivors of violence by referring them to legal and support services

Impact and Outcomes:

Hoviat’s advocacy efforts have amplified the narratives and challenges of Afghan women on the international stage. This department plays a critical role in shifting attitudes, influencing policymakers, and fostering global solidarity for women’s rights. Through these activities, the voices of Afghan women, particularly marginalized women, have become a prominent issue on the agenda of human rights organizations.

Join Us

We invite lawyers, human rights activists, journalists, and all justice advocates to participate in our advocacy initiatives and join us in promoting equality and human dignity for women.
